Porter Scott Successful at Trial in Placer County
Porter Scott attorney Martin Jensen and Jeffrey Nordlander obtained a multi-million dollar verdict on their clients’ cross-complaint and secured a defense verdict on the plaintiff’s affirmative complaint. The dispute centered on the fallout from a sale of a business. The plaintiff in the case attempted to secure a judgment in its favor of $6.8 million dollars. The case dealt with causes of action for breach of contract, conversion, misappropriation of trade secrets and other related causes of action. Honorable Judge Charles D. Wachob authored a 50 page Statement of Decision in finding for the cross-complainants in a complete victory. Judge Wachob specifically found that key witnesses of the plaintiff were not credible. In addition to an award of monetary damages of $1,677,967.12 the Porter Scott clients will be entitled to recover pre-judgment interest, attorneys’ fees and costs of suit.
