Porter Scott Wins Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings in Case Alleging Claims for Fraud and Negligence Against Public Entity and Its Employees
Associate Alison Southard and Shareholder William Camy successfully defended the County of Sacramento against a lawsuit alleging causes of action for fraud and negligence against the County and three County employees. Plaintiffs alleged that County employees made negligent and fraudulent misrepresentations concerning Plaintiffs’ records. The court granted Defendants’ Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings, holding that both the County and its employees were immune from liability for Plaintiffs’ causes of action pursuant to the California Government Code. Congratulations to Alison and Will!
