Porter Scott Wins Motion for Summary Judgment, Defeating Federal and State Law Claims Brought Against County, Sheriff, and Deputies

Associate Alison Southard and Shareholder David Norton successfully defended the County of Butte, the Sheriff, and two deputies in a federal civil rights action alleging an inmate received inadequate mental health care while incarcerated at the Butte County Jail. The Court granted the County Defendants’ Motion for Summary Judgment in its entirety, finding Plaintiffs’ federal and state claims failed as a matter of law. Congratulations Alison and David!
